Who We AreThe East Anglian Job came about in 2012 after the Norfolk Mini Owners Club decided that after 21 years of organising the only two day satic Mini show in the local area, it was time for change. Rising costs being the major factor in this decision.
Using the same principles the club began to plan a two day camping weekend based at Fakenham Racecourse over the August bank holiday weekend. Numbers of Minis/ MINIs attending the event are on the increase every year and we have seen Minis making the trip from as far afield as Manchester and in 2014, one from Holland! New for 2020 is a change in venue after over 15 years at Fakenham Racecourse. We believe the time is right for a move and will give the NMOC further destinations to visit. Applewood Country Park also gives attendees the chance to visit Banham Zoo, which is a very short walk away. www.banhamzoo.co.uk |
Raising money for charityThe idea of the event is to raise valuable funds for local charities, whilst enjoying the love of all things Mini.
In recent years the NMOC has donated money to The East Anglian Air Ambulance Service, Cancer Research UK, Anthony Nolan Trust, Melanoma UK to name a few. The 2016 show raised £600 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance Service. The 2017 saw money raised being split between NARS (Norfolk Accident Response Service )and EACH ( East Anglian Children's Hospice) |
